Absolutely. Compact sites are common throughout South Yarra, but they don't necessarily limit what's possible. Laguna specialises in designing custom concrete pools for challenging sites, carefully considering access, surrounding buildings and how the space will be used.
Our award-winning South Yarra rooftop plunge pool demonstrates this approach, transforming a compact and technically challenging inner-city rooftop into a luxurious private sanctuary without compromising on design or liveability.
For many South Yarra townhouses and inner-city homes, space is at a premium, making plunge pools and compact courtyard pools a popular choice.
The focus isn't simply fitting a pool onto the site, but creating one that complements the home's architecture while preserving valuable outdoor living space. Laguna designs every pool around how the space will be used, ensuring even compact backyards and rooftops can deliver a premium swimming experience.
In most cases, yes. South Yarra's mix of heritage properties, contemporary developments and tightly constrained inner-city sites can mean planning or building approvals are required before construction begins. Laguna works alongside homeowners, architects and planning consultants from the early design stages, helping navigate approvals while developing solutions that respond to the unique council requirements and conditions of each property.
South Yarra homeowners often favour features that make compact pools feel more luxurious and effortless to use. Integrated ledges, acrylic viewing windows and premium mosaic finishes help maximise both space and visual impact, while solar and gas heating, Mineral Ozone purification systems and automated in-floor cleaning create a pool that's comfortable to enjoy year-round with minimal maintenance.
While no increase in property value can be guaranteed, a well designed and quality built pool can strengthen the appeal of a home in South Yarra's premium property market.
Outdoor space is highly valued in this inner-city suburb and buyers often appreciate homes where every square metre has been carefully considered. A custom concrete pool that enhances both the home's architecture and everyday liveability can become a genuine point of difference when it's time to sell.
