Round pools in Australia can vary greatly in size. As they are better suited to recreational use and relaxation than laps, they do tend to be more compact in size. Typically, a plunge pool around three and a half metres in diameter, and one and a half metres deep, would be the smallest size you could expect.
However, as our round concrete pools are custom-designed and built, there is no firm limit on available dimensions. When working with Laguna, our designers and engineers will work closely with you to determine what is best suited to your space and how best to bring your vision to life.
Whether you are opting for a round inground swimming pool or one that is partially above ground, the timeline for completion is approximately 16 weeks from start to finish.
Various factors can influence this, however, including the accessibility of the site, size of the pool, amount of landscaping and finishing involved and more. A tailored estimation will be provided at the time of quotation and updates provided throughout the construction process.
A round pool, just like a traditional pool, requires proper balancing of pool chemicals and operation of the filtration system to keep it clean and hygienic. Helpfully, due to their shape, there are fewer dead zones or areas of poor circulation, making the filtration system more effective.
This effectiveness is further improved by the advanced in-floor cleaning system that comes with every round concrete pool built by Laguna. This system uses jets of water ejected from nozzles on the pool floor to help lift leaves and debris for easier removal via the filtration system. This can significantly reduce the need for vacuuming and manual debris removal.
