At the 2025 SPASA Victoria Awards of Excellence, Laguna was honoured with the most prestigious and highest number of accolades to date – a total of 20 awards across design, construction, innovation and marketing.

We’re proud to once again be named Victoria’s Best Pool Builder, for the second consecutive year, as well as Victoria’s Business of the Year – a reflection of the dedication, creativity and collaboration that defines every single Laguna project.
BEST POOL DESIGNER
Our in-house Pool Designer, Matt, also retained his title as Victoria’s Best Pool Designer, following both State and National wins in 2024, with the National awards for this year to follow in September.
With over 17 years of experience, Matt brings creativity, precision, and practical thinking to every project. Known for his calm, approachable nature and ability to make clients feel at ease, he guides them through the process with clarity and care. Embracing technology, from detailed 3D renders to virtual walkthroughs, he helps clients visualise every detail. His purpose-led design ensures each pool is not just beautiful, but thoughtfully created to enhance the way his clients live.
MOST AWARDED PROJECT OF THE NIGHT: CLIFTON HILL
Our Clifton Hill project stood out as a true showcase of purposeful design and was the most awarded projects of the night. It was recognised across five major categories:
- Best Pool Landscape Design
- Best Pool and Spa Combination
- Best Concrete In-Ground Spa
- Spa of the Year
- Innovative Project, and
- Highly Commended – Best Concrete Pool over $250,000
This project reflects the power of unified design and construction, with every element crafted to create a cohesive and visually striking outdoor space.
BEST ENCLOSED / INDOOR POOL: TOORAK PROJECT
Suspended within a grand Toorak residence, this indoor pool by Laguna blends structural ingenuity with refined detail. A rolled wet edge, concealed under pool plant room and Bisazza mosaic tiling come together beneath a vaulted skylight ceiling – delivering a technically complex build that feels effortless, and elevates the European-inspired architecture it sits within.
BEST CONCRETE LAP POOL: HAWTHORN EAST PROJECT
Set in Hawthorn East, this striking 17-metre L-shaped lap pool by Laguna blends luxury with purpose. Elevated to eye level with dark mosaic tiling and a white lap lane tile defining its fitness function, it offers uninterrupted views from the home thanks to a clever sunken wet-edge pit. A full-width stepped entry, integrated spa and soft landscaping complete a design that effortlessly connects architecture, lifestyle and outdoor entertaining.
BEST COMMERCIAL RENOVATION: SOUTH YARRA PROJECT
Set within an established apartment complex amidst vibrant Chapel Street, this transformative commercial pool and spa renovation by Laguna enhances resident wellbeing. The upgrade, involving comprehensive resurfacing and the integration of cutting-edge materials, breathes new life into the leisure space. A carefully selected tile palette and innovative coping are complemented by the existing full-perimeter wet deck edge, creating a glass-like surface and a serene retreat in an urban setting.
