In a sophisticated Melbourne suburb lies a luxurious home over two levels built to an exceptional standard. The northern rear aspect provides abundant sunshine, and the opportunity to create an idyllic and peaceful haven and blend indoor and outdoor living into one seamless entertainment zone.

Working with the talented Nathan Burkett on the landscape design, and within the confines of a compact size block and rear yard, it was absolutely necessary for the pool to maximise the space – whilst creating a sculptural element that could be viewed from inside the home – adding to the beauty of the build.

The final result? A stunning architectural piece that has been carefully crafted for its surroundings. This raised pool is a remarkable feat of design, that avoids the need for a pool fence due to a fully tiled infinity edge, sunken wet edge pit, and tiered garden beds with lush greenery. The pool can only be accessed from one side and is enveloped by floating timber decking and natural stone pool surrounds, emphasising the breathtaking views from the infinity edge.
