What Is An Inground Pool?

An inground pool is constructed directly into the ground, with a custom concrete shell designed to complement your site and architectural style. Unlike prefabricated alternatives, a Laguna inground pool is tailored from the ground up, designed to align with your vision, lifestyle and unique property characteristics and site contours. Whether nestled into a courtyard, framed by lush gardens or stretching alongside a pavilion or alfresco living area, inground pools offer endless design possibilities. Dedicated to superior outcomes, at Laguna, our inground pools are defined by timeless lines, premium finishes and fluid integration between pool and landscape.

Why Choose a Custom Concrete Inground Pool?

Precast fibreglass pools often limit your creative potential and rarely integrate seamlessly with high-end architecture. A custom concrete inground pool, by contrast, gives you full freedom to shape, scale and style every detail. At Laguna, our expert team is focused on excellence in every area of the design and build of your pool to suit the natural proportions of your space. From sleek lap pools or compact courtyard pools to expansive family-sized oases, our approach to crafting inground pools ensures precision, aesthetic cohesion and long-term durability. Something beautifully illustrated in our SPASA multi-award winning inground pool in Malvern.

Frequently Asked Questions About Inground Pools

Can I add an inground pool to an existing home?

Yes. Inground pools can be seamlessly integrated into both new builds and established homes. While planning is more straightforward when included in a new construction, Laguna specialises in retrofitting luxury pools into existing landscapes. We work with your site’s existing features, access points and architectural style to ensure a flawless, cohesive result. From compact inner-city blocks to spacious gardens, our tailored design process allows us to deliver a pool that enhances your home and lifestyle.

Is a concrete inground pool better than fibreglass?

For discerning homeowners seeking architectural integrity and design flexibility, concrete is the superior choice. Fibreglass pools come in pre-moulded shapes and sizes, which can restrict creativity and limit seamless integration. Concrete pools, on the other hand, are completely customised to suit your vision, lifestyle requirements, property contours and structural needs.

How much space do I need for an inground pool?

The beauty of custom concrete construction is that it can adapt to your space, whether large or small. We’ve designed everything from narrow plunge pools tucked alongside boundary fences to expansive resort-style pools with adjoining spas, tanning ledges and integrated alfresco zones. During our consultation process, we assess your available space, access and surrounding landscape to craft a design that feels effortless and intentional.

What’s involved in maintaining an inground pool?

While maintenance is part of any pool ownership, a well-designed Laguna inground pool makes it easy. Our pools are fitted with high-performance circulation and filtration systems, including optional in-floor cleaning and automated chemical dosing for minimal effort and crystal-clear water year-round. Of course, as with all pools, regular water testing and system checks are also recommended. At Laguna, we provide comprehensive handover guidance and ongoing support to ensure your pool stays pristine with minimal hassle.
